This work was a finalist in the Zurich National Gallery of Ireland Portrait Prize 2023 and was exhibited in The National Gallery of Ireland from November 2024 to March 2024.

According to the artist:

‘This portrait of Jim, a fellow member of Rathfarnham Social Photography Group, was taken during a photography workshop in May 2023 in Ballyroan Library, Dublin. It shows Jim leaning over his camera, checking its settings in preparation for a portrait shoot with my niece, who was posing for the group workshop. It represents our shared enthusiasm for photography and captures one of those moments of flow.’
